Me and Zero bought a house! Our bid got accepted -- when three others were submitted in the same day :o I was SO happy. We offered full asking price, $109,900. Its totally awesome on the inside! Its in the "historic" side of Hammond.



The only thing missing is a moat, its a freaking mini-castle. I LOVE it! Inspection, radon (or w/e) and pest/termite inspections on Friday.

We really got a good deal on it though...The family wanted to sell fast so they could move asap since the wife is pregnant with kid #3, and its only a two bedroom house.

The whole 2nd level could be finished into livable space (why they didn't do it since the house was built in 1930, I won't know either) but I'm guessing they don't want to either because they want their kids in different schools. Either way, its a great house, nothing wrong with it (via inspection, pest, radon, etc) its on a corner lot, and its a freakin CASTLE.

Muahahahha!

Halloween this year shall be fun.
